Updates
Group work has been running along. Some bumps in the road, but definitely some successes. I surveyed my students to find their early thoughts on working in groups and found most like it with a few still not sold on the process. Of course many say they want to work with friends, but they're starting to understand they won't always have that option.

Hey Mike! I am glad most students are finding group work to be a success. I am curious as to what some of the hang-ups have been. Student attitude? Have their been any ways of grouping that haven't worked out well? Hope you are doing well!
ReplyDeleteSome of the problems have been to consistently keep students motivated. I think I should have done a better job setting up expectations at the beginning of the year. Classroom management is always so easy then and seems to get harder this time of year.
